Jesus is real.

Tyler’s faith story was never loud or performative. It was steady. Rooted. Quietly unwavering. From a young age, Tyler devoted his life to Christ, faithfully following Him through every season of life. Some of his fondest memories were formed at church, attending every time the doors were open, learning about Jesus, growing in faith, and building the foundation that would carry him through the rest of his life.

As he grew, so did the evidence of Christ within him. Tyler exemplified faith not through grand displays, but through the way he lived. He reflected Jesus in his kindness, humility, consistency, and genuine love for others. Over the course of this journey, countless friends from every chapter of Tyler’s life have reached out to share their memories of meeting him for the first time. What is remarkable is how similar every story is. They all describe the same man: warm, inviting, funny, easy to love, and someone you immediately wanted more time with.

What they were experiencing was Christ in him.

So many people walked away from Tyler wanting to be more like him, not realizing that what they were truly drawn to was a life lived in quiet alignment with Jesus. Tyler often said he didn’t know how to be loud about his faith, but he knew how to set an example. And that is exactly what he did. Quietly, he led. Quietly, he cared for people. Quietly, he modeled the Christian walk in a way that felt authentic, approachable, and deeply genuine.

For the better part of the last decade, the enemy relentlessly pursued Tyler’s health. Yet through every hardship, every diagnosis, every setback, Tyler never wavered in his love for God. His question was never “Why me?” He never carried bitterness or resentment. Instead, he acknowledged the road placed before him and walked it with extraordinary strength and grace, finding joy wherever he could.

Even on his hardest days, Tyler was still checking on others. He would send texts asking friends how they were doing, offering encouragement, or perfectly timing a joke to make someone laugh. He continued tending to the hearts of others while quietly carrying immense suffering of his own.

Tyler devoted himself fully to the people and callings God entrusted to him. He loved his family fiercely. He loved his work. He loved people well. And through his quiet faith, a bright and unmistakable light for God shone through him.

Tyler’s calling was Kingdom expansion. Through pain, perseverance, and suffering, he drew others nearer to Christ. He showed us what faithful endurance looks like. He showed us how to walk through trials with dignity, hope, humor, and trust in God. His life was a living testimony that faith does not have to be loud to be powerful.

And now, fully healed and whole in the presence of Jesus, Tyler’s testimony continues, in every life he impacted, every heart he softened, and every person who encountered Christ through the way he lived.
